Dan Raphael is the poet in Salon
des Refuse, a jazz-funk-performance band that besides 5-9 musicians
also includes a painter and a tap dancer. He has recent poems
on line at Thunder Sandwich, xstream, Pemmican, Sniffy Linings,
and 5 trope. He is the author of Showing Light a Good
Time, Greatest Hits, Molecular Jam and others. Mr.
Raphael loves ale (making as well as drinking), jazz, the earth,
linguistic surprises and his family. He lives in Portland Oregon
and performs his work all over the Pacific Northwest. He'd be
